This has been an excellent vehicle with plenty of room. It is heavy and it makes you feel safe, especially with all of the traffic that is in Florida. I would never feel safe in a small car in Florida or much less anywhere else. It does fairly well on gasoline also

2011 has Multi variable customization options. Took my down to frame, rebuilt in 2024, and 2025. Customized all feature. Very easy to work on (if correctly maintained). Must be a patient mechanic to deal with ford BS. I think that the EDGE is a Very rewarding project. This vehicle is most accepting to any changes that you can come up with. Many references all over the web. Price ee OEM parts, but, again, many aftermarket options. If you plan to buy this machine, please be aware of 2x big problems. 1. Water pump/Timing chain. The original water pump seals will fail (beteen 175k, and 210k miles) 2. Multiple electrical issues. Most notably of these are the door open sensors. These sensors are embedded in the door locking mechanism. Must replace entire locking module to repair sensor. In my case, These issues only materialize at around 90k mi, and little less than 10yrs of hard waterfront maritime driving. Daily driver/work truck. Outstanding MACHINE
